Basic Skills Instructional Program (BSIP) is a program to help those students that struggle with some of the basic concepts of reading and writing. We go into the classrooms at least 4 times a week and work with the students in small groups for about 20 minutes each day. This lesson is in addition to their regular classroom teacher working with them on similar skills. We try to base our lessons on the skills being taught within the classroom, however if a teacher points out an area of concern we have the flexibility to build a lesson around that skill to help reinforce it.
